MRUDNEWS-Mohammad Ali Moosapoor Gorgi outlined the strategic capacities of Amirabad Port, stating: “Being located on the International North-South Transport Corridor, enjoying multimodal transport, and having connectivity to the national rail network have made Amirabad one of the most important destinations for investment and cargo movement in northern Iran.”<\/p>\n

He emphasized that continuous dialogue with the private sector, cargo owners, investors, and shipping companies enables accurate identification of issues, reduction of administrative bureaucracy, acceleration of service delivery, and reduction of costs for economic activists.<\/p>\n

In a joint meeting with members of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture, attended by representatives from customs, northern railway, and private sector investors, solutions for developing bilateral cooperation, facilitating trade and cargo transit, introducing investment opportunities, and investor attraction processes at Amirabad Port were examined.<\/p>\n

The development of multimodal transport, the role of Apirin Dry Port in completing the logistics chain, and greater interaction with port entry points were also among the topics discussed.<\/p>\n

The Director General emphasized that the main goal of these meetings is to address the concerns of traders, investors, and cargo owners, stating: “Synergy between the private sector and executive bodies can remove many existing obstacles in the path of trade and pave the way for increased productivity of port services.”<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of the program, Chamber of Commerce members visited the berths, cargo loading and unloading operations, and private sector investment projects currently operational at Amirabad Port.<\/p>\n

In another meeting with representatives of shipping companies, key maritime issues and challenges were discussed, including fuel supply, navigation restrictions through the Volga Canal, administrative bureaucracy processes, technical and repair services, and updating port equipment.<\/p>\n

Moosapoor Gorgi, referring to the regular holding of these specialized meetings, said: “Continued dialogue with shipping companies enables better identification of specialized issues and effective follow-up of stakeholders’ demands. Amirabad Ports and Maritime Directorate is seriously taking steps to resolve problems and facilitate the activities of shipping companies.”<\/p>\n

Shipping company representatives, emphasizing the need to remove existing obstacles, stated that reducing vessel waiting time at anchorage, facilitating scheduling for loading and unloading, and streamlining administrative processes would play a significant role in increasing port operational efficiency.<\/p>\n

In this meeting, Habibollah Talebi, Deputy for Maritime Affairs of Amirabad Ports and Maritime, while appreciating the cooperation of shipping companies, emphasized the management of vessels’ drinking water consumption and increased coordination with relevant authorities on issues outside the port area.<\/p>\n

The holding of these two meetings reflects Amirabad Ports and Maritime Directorate’s approach to strengthening direct communication with economic activists, cargo owners, investors, and shipping companies\u2014an approach pursued with the aim of removing obstacles, facilitating commercial and maritime processes, improving port service quality, and enhancing Amirabad Port’s role in the International North-South Transport Corridor.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
